Carol Aune, OD

Dr. Carol Aune, OD, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill and University of Houston College of Optometry, the latter being summa cum laude. Dr. Aune has been published in the Review of Optometry and the New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Aune has been practicing optometry for over 10 years and has served as the Principal Investigator for nearly thirty research studies. She has years of experience diagnosing and treating a wide variety of eye diseases as well fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Aune is fully-trained in clinical research, including current Good Clinical Practice training. She receives ongoing training to ensure that she is up to date with the latest research, technology, practices, and techniques in clinical research and optometry.

Dr. Aune currently provides comprehensive eye care and eye exams in Raleigh, NC at eyecarecenter. She also serves as co-chair of the Research Committee on the EyeCare Partners Medical Executive Board (MEB).
