Allan Adkins, OD

Dr. Allan Adkins, OD, has been a practicing full-scope optometry for over 40 years. He spent 19 years practicing eye care in Southwest Virginia and Southern West Virginia in rural areas where access to healthcare was limited. Dr. Adkins gained valuable experience managing ocular disease, including extensive experience with diabetes - which has ravaged Appalachia long before spreading throughout the United States.

Licensed in North Carolina since 1985, Dr. Adkins relocated to High Point in 2005 where he began and continues his career with eyecarecenter in High Point. He practices general care of patients 5 years of age and older with special interests in contact lenses, glaucoma, dry eye disease and care of diabetic eye disease.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, boating and music. Dr. Adkins is currently accepting new High Ridge eye care patients at eyecarecenter. Schedule today.
